What is CMSmap? Who is developing these CMSmap tools and when?
A United Kingdom of Great Britain company named
Dionach created a Python program named
CMSmap v1.0 and published that Python code on GitHub on
11 September 2018.
Dionach’s idea of developing Cmsmap was to use CMSmap as a Python open source scanner to help detect security vulnerabilities in some website’s cms. And its main purpose is to store the vulnerabilities of different types of cms in one place.
Cmsmap supports only a few tools.
Eg:
WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Moodle.
By using cmsmap you can find bugs, flaws or malfunctions in your site.
What is MAP?
The full name of the map is
Magic Attack Power. As the name suggests, it does enough work to ruin the Content Management System of a WordPress website. Due to its power attack, some special or other plugins of your WordPress get corrupted, which damages your website.
What is WordPress Shell?
The WordPress shell is what allows you to function inside the WordPress environment, allowing you to functionally evaluate PHP statements and expressions. Where you can execute it by writing less code.
What is CMSmap – WordPress Shell Attack?
CMSmap attack is targeted by your website url of the content management system. Due to which some of the content of your website gets damaged. Its attack falls on your plugins. Due to which you will see many plugins with the same name in cmsmap wordpress shell or different name of plugins attack.
This means that the Content Management System of WordPress damages its website by magic attack power.
As you can see above, there are many plugins named CMSMAP WordPress Shell. When you click on its view details, you will see the plugins that you are using or have installed before.
Why is it appearing like this?
This means that the plugins you used for your WordPress site are now corrupted by the virus and Attacker. Due to which you are seeing all the plugins of WordPress with the same name and it is called CMSMAP attack.
It is illegal to use CMSMAP to attack targets without mutual consent.
How to fix a CMSMAP attack.
If you remove all plugins with the same name, your previous plugins will be disabled or Deactivated.
Which will harm your site.
For this we will need a backup file.
Upload your backup file to cpanel’s file manager. After that you check whether your WordPress is updated or not, then you update WordPress and update the plugin you need.
Your problem will be resolved.
